Lessons
I teach any student of any level from age 8 up, whether you are at a beginner, intermediate, or advanced level, and whether you are learning the violin for fun, have professional ambitions and big goals, or fall somewhere in-between. Some students simply want to enjoy making music for personal fulfillment, while others are working toward competitions, youth orchestra or conservatory auditions, or professional careers.

Free Trial Lesson
The process of deciding on a teacher can feel challenging and overwhelming because there are many options. It’s important that we meet and work a bit together before you decide to study with me, to make sure you feel like we are good match, and to give you the confidence that I can help you reach your goals.
Violin Trial Lesson
During the trial lesson, I’ll first have you play something, and we’ll do a bit of work together. If you are a complete beginner, all you need to do is show up with an instrument and bow! If you have something specific you are working on, feel free to bring it with you to the lesson. We’ll then discuss where you are in your violin journey and I’ll describe how I would approach working with you based on where you are and what your goals are. You’ll have plenty of time to ask questions and decide whether my teaching style feels like the right fit for you.
Music Theory Trial Lesson
Feel free to bring with you a broad topic or specific concept you are having trouble understanding, and we will see if we can de-mystify it! We’ll discuss the relevance of theory for understanding and interpreting your repertoire as a performer, and come up with a plan if you’d like to continue theory lessons.
